Our story

The blazing spark that crossed the Atlantic ocean. Combined with prestigious Scandinavian engineering, metal and design to deliver a completely different cuisine and experience to your dining table.

For a lifetime, the craftmanship of cooking and especially grilling have been our passion. Before Omberg, Sebastian the founder started his company Grillkung. Since then the company has grown into a great success that inspires and help thounsands discover outdoor cooking. After more than a decade of running his company, he felt like the industry was missing something.

The entrepreneur within him brought the idea to the flames. And so the brand, Omberg was born. Inspired by one of Sweden's landmarks. Omberg a preserved natural spectacle with centuries of history. The profound connection to the land, the rich tones of its ancient forests, the formidable and yet beautiful hardness of the rock. Those are the core & soul factors of our design philosophy.

We take the best of Argentina's fire-driven cuisine and traditions, and built it for the Scandinavian climate. After five years of development, refinement and countless of hours by the flames. Omberg Asado has grown from a spark of inspiration into a respected name in Sweden. Today our grills are proudly presented across Europe by chefs, enthusiasts and anyone drawn to the timeless tradition of fire and food.

Sebastian Virta;
"During the COVID pandemic, I started to grill with an open fire more seriously. The restaurants were closed and the options were very few. We started to hang out with family and friends more and more, and since Sweden can be really cold, we always had an open fire. And with the huge passion of grilling, of course we cooked, often with just a fire and some spits. But after a while we used more and more cast iron which led to more serious cooking. With the simplest barbeque your ingridents are; an open fire and a spit.  Later it led to more advanced cooking by adding some cast iron in our lunch adventures in the forest. The love for the open fire has always been there, but after COVID I wanted to bring that feeling to my own garden, and thus I started to design our Asado grills, not because you specifically need that grill. Grilling with an open fire is still something I do in the most simplest way possible in the forest, but at home I like the luxury feeling of Omberg Asado."

This is only the beginning. Welcome to Omberg Asado.

Omberg is not a grill, it's a recession to the fire.
