Carbon Steel Griddle – Brasero Shelf 39x34 cm

Sale price2,151.00 kr

Flat Cooking Surface on Your Brasero

This carbon steel griddle is made to sit on the Asado Gaucho Brasero Shelf. At 39 x 34 cm and 6 mm thick, it turns the brasero zone into a plancha surface positioned directly over the fire management area of the grill.

Made in Sweden from carbon steel. The 6 mm thickness matters for cooking: thinner griddles heat unevenly and create hot spots. At 6 mm, the surface retains and distributes heat consistently, which means good searing contact across everything on the griddle at once, not just the parts sitting directly over a flame.

What to Cook on It

Smash burgers are the most natural use. The surface gets hot enough to produce a proper sear crust without the burger steaming on a wet surface. Eggs, halloumi, sliced vegetables, fish fillets, and flatbreads all work well here too. It also works as a stovetop griddle at home between grill sessions.

Seasoning and Care

Carbon steel needs seasoning before first use. Apply a thin coat of neutral oil, heat until it smokes, wipe clean, and repeat two or three times. After that, the surface builds a natural cooking layer with each use. Dry thoroughly after washing and apply a thin oil coat before storing.
