V-Shaped Grill Scraper
Designed for V-Grates, Not Flat Grates
Standard grill scrapers are flat. The Asado Gaucho uses V-shaped grates, and those V-grates collect residue on the inside faces of each rod , the angled surfaces that a flat blade cannot reach. This scraper has a V-shaped blade that matches the grate profile exactly, so it cleans those surfaces in a single pass along each rod.
After a cook, grease and carbon build up on the inner faces of the V. Left there, it smokes on the next cook and gradually affects the taste of the food. The V-Shaped Scraper removes it before it accumulates into a problem.
How to Use It
Use the scraper while the grates are still warm after cooking, before the residue sets hard. Place the V-blade onto the grate, align it with the rod profile, and draw it along the length of each grate. Work through each grate in turn. It takes a few minutes for the full surface.
For a complete cleaning routine, follow the scraper with the Spiral Spring Grill Brush once the grates have cooled. The scraper handles the heavy residue while warm; the brush takes care of the fine cleanup once things have cooled down.
Compatible Grills
Designed for the V-grate system on the Asado Gaucho 1200, Asado Gaucho 1000, Asado Gaucho 800, XL and XXL. Works on any grill using V-shaped grate rods.
